After moving to Vermont in 1989 my ballooning experiences pretty much fell off the face of the earth for a while. I got a phone call from Cliff Cowen in Pennsylvania ( a Pilot I met on the road in 1989). He said if i could get to Newcastle, Pensylvania on Memorial Day Weekend, he had a balloon for me to fly and a great new rally to fly in. It was called "Balloon Quest 89" I asked Brenda if she would mind taking a 500 mile drive to a place she had never been to see people she did not know and she said sure!! What an awesome woman! As you can see by the pictures...It was great!!
